Minerva (Miny) Samano has over 10 years experience in the marketing research industry. During that time, Minerva has gained key expertise as an In-Depth Interviewer, Spanish translator, and Focus Group Moderator. She has interacted extensively with the Hispanic consumer market for research spanning an array of industries, including telecommunications, fast food restaurants, financial products/services, health care and social services. Her work experience includes working with Hispanic and general market advertising agencies as well as market research firms.
Minerva Samano is Mexican American and was born in the United States. As a youth, she lived for several years in Guanajuato, Mexico where both of her parents were born. Today Minerva lives in the historic Pilsen neighborhood– the second largest Hispanic community in Chicago. Minerva’s community ties as well as her bi-annual travels to Mexico have contributed her mastery of the Spanish dialect – in both written and oral speech. As a moderator, Minerva utilizes her expert linguistic skills and extensive knowledge of the Hispanic market to effectively communicate authentic, response-rich insights from her Hispanic target audience.
Minerva currently resides in Chicago, IL and is completing an advanced degree in Marketing at University of Illinois. Minerva stays abreast of current industry events and techniques by attending annual conferences and research seminars. She also participates in local chapter events for the Chicago Marketing Research Association, and is a member of several online groups including Hispanic Professionals and the Qualitative Market Research Forum.
